Ra Ra Riot

So I got my wife their new CD "Orchard" for her birthday and we both kind of disliked it at first. I've been listening to it kinda off and on for the last week and I'm really starting to enjoy it! Definitely a lot slower than their last but still very good I think.

Shiner Double Wheat

Stopped by Price Chopper by my school the other day to pick up some cold medicine. I had never been there before so I figured I would check out their beer selection and sure enough they had some new choices. It turned out to be pretty good. Another WIN for Shiner!

Creation: 4 1/2

I'm in the process of making a second book shelf. This one will be more stable and also stained instead of painted.

Creation: Number 4

So, after making some stuff for the house and giving myself false ideas that I was good at it, I decided to try my luck on an end table. It would have been good but it was a little too wobbly, especially for having a toddler crawling around soon.  So it's destined to be in the corner..

Creation: Number 3

We badly needed a coffee table and the one we had from Target for $25 bucks wasn't cutting it so I decided just to build one. It came out to under $50 for all the supplies and wood. I also got to experiment with staining wood instead of painting it.

Creation: Number 2

Last winter I was become more and more bored so I decide to build a book shelf. I definitely learned a thing or two about simply building a book shelf after this.

Creation

When I was young I remember my dad having a book shelf in the living room made out of a ladder and ply wood. Well I decided to do the same thing but this time I would paint it.

A winter in Germany

Oh my blue moon

I took this photo with my trusty flash light and samsung.

Lebanon

Saw Lebanon the other day, great film!  The hole movie is filmed inside of a tank(well a tank prop). It follows one tank crew through the Lebanon war. I love these Israeli films because half of the cast has served in their military. The director was actually in the Lebanon conflict and they interviewed one of the cast playing the part of a soldier. He was actually part of an airborne unit and was shot 3 times in a conflict not long ago. I think that helps strengthen the film and it's actors credibility.  GREAT FILM! 5 STARS!

Never again

We visited Illinois over spring break to see some old indian sites. My first impression crossing the Mo, Il state line was how trashy Illinois was. We visited an old indian ground that once held thousands of people. North Americas largest excavation site now sits with a road running strait through the site and construction yards and dumps on either side of it, disgusting. In no way am I for for the government telling people where and where not they can have business's but at a site like this...... I don't know. I guess I'm a sucker for historic sites.

The Great Escape

Reading is an escape from reality. Books got me through a lot, the hard times and the boring times.

Zombies on the Horizone

A fortress on a Hill

This fortress was amazing. It was built almost a thousand years ago but was re- built during the transition from swords and shields to canons and rifles. I love the design of these fortresses. They have almost a star shape for their perimeter. I believe this fortress housed almost 900 people and had its own school and hospital as well as underground tunnels and "assault doors". Great visit
